It's cloudy, windy, raining, getting colder, and my car died while I was parking it this morning.
Started stumbling at idle as I was trying to straighten up into a space, then finally died so I let it coast to finish parking.
I have not been back out to see if it will start again. I'm hopeful it will.
2002 SVT Focus; these have a known idle issue, and I have not gotten mine tuned to fix it. It normally doesn't have problems, and really only with the compressor running (AC/defrost). Neither of which was on this morning.

As someone with a 2000 Mustang, I am qualified to say the real issue here is that you own a turn of the century Ford product.

I've noticed the idle issue gets worse with cold weather, maybe it's just a fluke? My car's "died" twice on me while in neutral but it started right back up, have you had a chance to fire it up again?

Nope, been at work, and I packed lunch. I'll find out once I leave.

Car started right up, and ran fine the whole way home.

That's great to hear, hopefully that's the last time it happens. You never know with these stupid cars...

Ha my buddy just bought an 02 2 days ago, and I gave it a test drive. It was making a lopey, almost big cam like sound at stop lights, and the brakes were really hard. Some other SVT friends suggested checking for a vacuum leak where the brake booster vacuum tube connects from the intake manifold, but just wanted to see if you have an opinion.

The best resource for SVT info. Sounds like a good place to start. The timing on these is also hard to do right if you dont know what you're doing.

O yea I'm already on there and focus fanatics. I've also done the timing on my svt, or at least I'm in the middle of doing it.
